Description
Watercolor is the most free-spirited of all paints. It’s the beauty and the challenge of the medium. As a painter of realism, I am constantly preventing the watercolors from their potential as I force them to do what ‘I’ want. So, in this piece, I tried hard to give the paint the freedom to do what it wanted, allowing the inherent beauty of the medium to shine through. It was a very helpful exercise for this controlling artist.
Quite possibly you do not see the beauty and value in this piece that I do, but I am certain that is the way it is with God and us. We struggle to understand and appreciate our difficult circumstances, while He sees something valuable and redemptive in them.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5
